HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

As we welcome the New Year, I extend warm greetings on behalf of the National Council of Negro Women, Illinois State Coalition. This season offers a meaningful opportunity to reflect on our rich legacy and the collective efforts that continue to strengthen women, families, and communities across Illinois.

We enter this new year grounded in the vision and values established by our founder, Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune. Her call to leadership, service, and civic engagement continues to guide our work as we advocate for equity, opportunity, and social justice for all.

The year ahead brings renewed energy and promises as we expand our programs, deepen partnerships, and respond to the evolving needs of our communities. Through collaboration and purposeful action, we remain committed to empowering women and uplifting future generations.

Together, we move forward with unity, resilience, and hope. I wish you a New Year filled with good health, inspiration, and a shared determination to create lasting and meaningful change.

In sisterhood and service,

Dr. Ramona E. James
President

Without community service, we would not have a strong quality of life. It's important to the person who serves as well as the recipient.  It's the way in which we ourselves grow and develop. - Dorothy I. Height
