Welcome to the official website of the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW), Illinois State Coalition.

I am Dr. Ramona E. James, and it is both an honor and a privilege to serve as President of this dynamic and inspiring coalition. As we continue the legacy of our esteemed founder, Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune, our work remains rooted in empowering women of African descent, their families, and communities through advocacy, education, economic development, and health initiatives.

Here in Illinois, our sections and members are united in purpose and passion. We are committed to making meaningful change, building strong partnerships, and uplifting one another as we face the challenges of today and the opportunities of tomorrow.
